Viva Virtuoso Ep. 4 “Drama Queen” Premieres March 23rd

And we’re back, folks!

After a three-month winter break, Viva Virtuoso is back this Spring, with dramatic soprano Shayne Dalva joining us.

Born in Santa Monica, California, Shayne was fortunate to be raised by a mother who was a musician, songwriter and arranger for Motown. She broke out in song at a very early age and frequently, receiving a scholarship for Vocal Arts at the University of California Long Beach in 2000, then continued her training with Vladimir Chernov. Needless to say, we were as much wowed by her training as we were by her talent and vocal skills, and we couldn’t have been more thrilled to have her on the show.

Filming with Shayne was a hoot and we’re just sorry we can’t show you every minute of it. Throughout her career so far, Shayne has performed the tile roles of Tosca and Ariadne Auf Naxos, Amelia in Un ballo in maschera, Sieglinde in Die Walküre, Elsa in Lohengrin, and Senta in The Flying Dutchman, as well as The Four Last Songs of Richard Strauss and Verdi’s Requiem, as a soprano soloist. Somewhere along the way, she also found the time to win the second place prize for best vocal artist in the Gershwin International Music Competition in New York. She had Viva Virtuoso written all over her!
